Heather and Matt had such romantic sunset Michigan beach engagement photos at Bay City State Park . Sunset at this location is absolutely beautiful and truly perfect for Michigan beach engagement photos! It offered the most gorgeous cotton candy colored skies with the sun peeking from behind the trees and views of Lake Huron.
These two married last year in a small, intimate backyard wedding with immediate family. They are celebrating with a big wedding later this year on the same day which is so special and called for some engagement photos in celebration!

For the first part of the session Heather wore a beautiful white flowy dress which was perfect for the beach, while Matt coordinated perfectly with a button down blue shirt and gray shorts. These two weren’t afraid to dip their toes in the water before their second outfit change, which I always love!

About midway into their session, Heather and Matt changed into their second set of outfits. Heather wore a beautiful flowy orange dress while Matt changed into a pair of blue jeans and a classic white shirt which went perfectly against Heather’s look. These two had so much fun running around the beach and just being playful with one another. My style of photography is a mix of prompting and documentary style so my clients feel like they have guidance, but also leaving and holding space for authenticity and genuine moments to happen between them!
